    POSITION PURPOSE:

    The Food Service Aide performs a variety of duties related to assembly, delivery, and collection of patient trays and completes routine and special sanitation duties, and any clerical duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Licenses or Certifications:  CPR Certification

    Total Education, Vocation Training, and Experience:  High School graduate or equivalent, and one year of experience in institutional cooking is preferred, and knowledge of all H.A.C.C.P. guidelines.

     

    Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to read, speak, write, and follow oral, and written directions;

    Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations related to measurement and proportioning of foods;

    Able to use courtesy and tact in dealing with patients, visitors, and medical staff;

    Must be willing to perform routine tasks on a continuous basis;

    Must have initiative and judgment in planning, and performing duties in an organized manner.

     

    PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION:

    Position has No Access to Protected Health Information of patients on caseload.
