    POSITION PURPOSE:

    The Marketing Representative is responsible for marketing to physicians, medical and referral staff, and the community for Hospice Services.  Responsible for developing census as defined through targeted goals of the business plan.  Maintains knowledge of all referring agencies, physicians, and competition

    Qualifications

    Licenses or Certifications:  N/A.

     

    Total Education, Vocational Training, and Experience: Bachelors degree in related field or 5 years of relative experience.  Two years of proven hospice marketing experience required.

     

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Ability to interpret and work within are hospice rules and regulations;

    Ability to work independently under general instruction on a variety of special projects;

    Ability to perform critical thinking, active listening, judgment and decision making, effective speaking, time management, persuasion, persistence, flexibility, and social perceptiveness;

    Excellent oral/written communications skills;

    Ability to interact in a positive manner and communicate well with staff, referral sources, and the community about services provided by Valir Health and the company’s mission, philosophies, goals, and objectives.

     

    PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION:

    Position has no Access to Protected Health Information of patients on caseload.

    Indoor climate-controlled environment.  Patient care environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, to blood and body fluids which may carry infection to infectious disease, and to chemical and electrical hazards.  Daily travel with exposure to outdoors elements.  Must have reliable transportation and maintain adequate automobile insurance coverage.
